The Board: Chicago is a one-hour weekly show that merges entertainment with local impact!


Four local philanthropic leaders, "Board Members", each contribute $15,000 of their own money to form a $60,000 giving pool to support four area nonprofit organizations.  


Each nonprofit presents its mission in a televised pitch setting in front of our panel of Board Members, who evaluate strength, impact and need before making funding decisions. 


  • One nonprofit is awarded a $42,000 primary grant as the standout recipient of the competition.
  • The remaining three nonprofits each receive a $6,000 award for their participation and impact.
  • Every organization leaves funded, making the event both competitive and fully inclusive in community support.


The structure is designed to balance competition with shared community benefit, ensuring every participating organization receives meaningful support and exposure.

The 60 minute format ensures friendly competition and drama with meaningful support for every mission, so everyone walks away a winner.

Live donation tallies also allows viewers to donate to their favorite causes as well.
